The Peterbilt 365 is a rugged Class 8 vocational truck, introduced in the mid-2000s and still available in various configurations. It was designed to bridge the gap between heavy-haul capabilities and on-highway comfort, making it a versatile choice for vocational fleets that also operate on public roads.

The Peterbilt 365 is widely used for:

  • Dump trucks
  • Concrete mixers
  • Heavy equipment hauling
  • Tanker trucks
  • Oilfield service
  • Snow plows / municipal use

Its strong frame and set-forward or set-back axle options make it suitable for a wide range of applications in both on-road and off-road environments.

Cab Type

  • Cab Style: Conventional vocational cab
  • Cab Width: Approximately 1.9 meters (narrow cab)
  • Shares the same cab shell as models like the Peterbilt 348, 340, and earlier 335s
  • Optional day cab or sleeper configurations available

Aftermarket Seat Compatibility

The Peterbilt 365 uses the standard vocational seat bolt pattern: 4.68" x 12"

This pattern is common across most narrow-body vocational Peterbilts and requires no adaptor plate for the majority of aftermarket seats.

Popular aftermarket seat options:

  • National Ensign, Captain, Corsair – fits vocational bolt pattern
  • Bostrom T-Series or Pro Ride – available in air suspension
  • Knoedler Air Chief or Harrier – direct fit, great for custom builds where high customization needed

Installation Notes

  • No adaptor needed for standard seat swaps
  • For trucks with raised floors or center consoles, measure for seat height and suspension clearance
  • Trucks with PTO controls or other vocational upfits may require a narrower seat base
