The 520 is most commonly used for:

Aftermarket Seat Compatibility

The Peterbilt 520 does not use a standard seat mount pattern. Its cab layout, floor height, and mounting surface are unique, especially for dual-drive configurations. As such:

An adaptor plate is typically required for installing aftermarket seats.

Additionally, depending on the configuration (single vs. dual drive), aftermarket options may be limited by space and access to controls.

Installation Notes

• Adaptor or custom riser is almost always required
• Check seat height for clearance with:
  • Dual steering wheels
  • Entry steps
  • Dash and console areas
• Confirm base dimensions and frame depth before ordering

The National Refuse seat is recommended with adaptor plate dependent on if a National seat is being replaced or not.  You can select that option when configuring your refuse seat.
