389

The Peterbilt 389 is a Class 8 long-hood conventional truck, introduced in 2007 as the successor to the 379. It combines Peterbilt’s classic styling with modern enhancements in safety, fuel economy, and comfort. The 389 has become the flagship model for owner-operators, known for its iconic aluminum hood, polished accents, and customizable options.

The Peterbilt 389 is widely used for:

  • Long-haul trucking (dry van, reefer, flatbed)
  • Heavy haul
  • Livestock and agricultural transport
  • Construction (lowboy, dump, tanker)
  • Specialty and show trucks
  • Owner-operator fleets

It’s prized for its traditional look, spacious cab, and rugged capability.
