How to find my ideal H-point
How to find your H-point
- Sit in your current truck/motorhome driver seat.
- Adjust to a comfortable position (add air to the seat to find a good ride height)
- Check visibility over the a dash and hood of the vehicle
- Ensure a minimum of 6 inches of head room to the roof of the cab
- Knees are below the steering wheel and there is clearance for 3-4" travel up
- 2-3 fingers to the back of the knees from the end of the cushion
- Feet reach pedals comfortably. Hands reach the steering wheel comfortably.
- Head at a neutral posture is no more than 3" from the head restraint.
- With a finger, find the spot on your side where your torso and thigh meet. This is your H-point.
- From the floor to your H-point: Measure the vertical distance from the floor where the seat mounts to the spot you marked on your hip. If your floor is not flat, measure to the bottom of the air suspension where it meets the floor.
