The Peterbilt 589 is a Class 8 aerodynamic conventional truck, introduced in 2021 as the successor to the popular 579. It features cutting-edge aerodynamics, advanced safety systems, and driver comfort enhancements tailored for long-haul and regional operations.

The 589 is primarily used for:

Aftermarket Seat Compatibility

The Peterbilt 589 uses the 6" x 12" wide cab bolt pattern, the same as its predecessor, the 579.

Many aftermarket seats fit directly or with a specific adaptor plate.

Installation Notes

  • Verify seat height and suspension clearance, especially with raised roof sleepers.
  • Confirm wiring harness compatibility for power/heated seat features.
  • Use the correct adaptor plate when installing seats originally designed for the 4.65" x 12" bolt pattern.
