388

The Peterbilt 388 is a Class 8 traditional long-hood truck, produced from 2007 to 2015, and succeeded the legendary 379 as Peterbilt’s premium owner-operator and heavy-haul model. It retained the classic long-nose styling while incorporating modern updates like an aluminum hood and improved visibility.

The 388 is built for power and durability, making it ideal for:

  • Heavy haul
  • Flatbed and step deck
  • Tanker
  • Agricultural and livestock transport
  • Construction (lowboy, dump, and heavy vocational bodies)
  • Owner-operator long-haul

With its set-forward front axle and steel/aluminum chassis options, the 388 is suited to demanding vocational and hauling applications.
